My Story

Hello and thank you for visiting my website.

My name is Kim Stallworthy and I'd like to tell you a little bit about the service I provide and how the idea for this service came about. Many years ago I lost my sweet father who I loved dearly, to leukemia at the tragically young age of 47.  It was a traumatic time in my life to say the least. In the years since his passing I found myself unable to throw away anything that I had of his in my possession.  It felt like I was discarding a part of him and I just couldn't  bring myself to do it. Being an artist I thought I would try to make a creative tribute to my father using many of these items I had been saving.  I used fabric from a towel we had purchased together on a trip to Europe, embroidery thread that belonged to his grandmother, pages from his passport, cuff links, stones from the lake where my father had designed and built our family cottage.  All of these things were rife with meaning.  I put these things together along with lyrics from two songs that always reminded me of him.  Below is an image of this final work.  It is now hanging in my living room where I can see it every day.

Eventually I started to wonder if I could provide this service for people like myself who have kept little mementos of their loved one and have them packed away in a dark dusty closet somewhere .

I'd love to work with you to create a keepsake that you can hang in a special place in your home where you can see it all the time.

To this end I have come up with an extensive series of questions for you to answer that will help me get a feeling for your loved one. With this information and with the items you will provide for me I will, with respect and sensitivity, try to do this for you too.

Thank you for putting your trust in me.
